ohannesburg, also known as Jozi, Jo’burg or Egoli is, by population, the largest city in South Africa. The city is the source of a large-scale gold trade, owing to its location on the mineral-rich Witwatersrand range of hills, where gold was discovered in 1886. We will point out historical buildings in the old city centre, and visit the financial and shopping hub of Sandton.
