Tshukudu Lodge
An exclusive 5-star game lodge in the heart of the park and overlooking its own waterhole, Tshukudu allows the visitor a special glimpse of Africa: untouched, unspoilt and unforgettable. You are accommodated in one of the nine flawless, thatched chalets atop a rocky outcrop. The sunken bath and private balcony of each cottage has its own view of the waterhole. Experienced rangers accompany you on game drives in four-wheel drive vehicles as well as on night safaris and game walks.

- Scheduled full day tour on first day, departing from Pretoria / Johannesburg from 07:30; lunch Drop-off at Bakubung Lodge at 15:00
- Transfers to and from Bakubung Lodge with a high tea on arrival at Tshukudu Lodge

- Transport departing earlier than 16:00 is available at an extra charge of R400 per vehicle.
- Please note that the lodge can only be reached by climbing 132 steps and that no special arrangements are available for the handicapped and infirm.
Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge
Is a lodge concession awarded by the North West Parks & Tourism Board (custodians of the land) within the existing Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The entire lodge lies in an exclusive use zone in the south-western portion of the 55,000ha, “Big 5” and malaria free Pilanesberg Game Reserve. It offers exclusive traversing as well as access to all the Park’s public roads. The lodge also lies adjacent to the Wilderness Area offering the opportunity of walking trails in this untouched environment.
The magnificent main lodge provides all the necessary facilities and amenities, including a restaurant, bar, wine cellar, lounge, swimming pool and deck, and a boma. This provides a central gathering point and social environment for all guests at the lodge.
The entire lodge consists of a main lodge, 13 family suites of approximately 132 sq. metres each and 4 executive suites of approximately 86 sq. metres each.

Ivory Tree Game Lodge
Nestled in the basin of an ancient amphitheatre divided by riverine woodlands and elephant trails lies this exclusive private game lodge.
Ivory Tree Game Lodge is situated in the northeastern region of the Pilanesberg National Park; the closest point of entry is through Bakgatla Gate. Ivory Tree uses custom-built 10 seater open game viewers, which permit maximum all round visibility. Each group of guests is assigned a personal guide who is tasked with interpreting the sights and sounds of the African bush. Ivory Tree Game Lodge boasts 57 suites, each with air conditioner and cooling, en-suite bathroom and an outside shower.

Bakubung & Kwa Maritane Lodge
Bakubung Lodge (People of the Hippo) and Kwa Maritane Lodge (Place of the Rock) are two four-star lodges nestled on the slopes of the Park. Each overlooks its own private waterhole. These luxury lodges are surrounded by unspoilt bushveld teeming with game and bird-life. Experienced rangers accompany you on game drives in four-wheel drive vehicles as well as on night safaris and game walks.
Included:
- Scheduled full day tour on first day, departing from Pretoria / Johannesburg from 07:30; lunch included. Check in at lodge at 15:00.
- Return transport, departing from lodge at 16:00 on last day.
- Transport departing earlier than 16:00 is available at an extra charge of R400 per vehicle.
- One game drive in an open vehicle.
- Breakfast and dinner.
- You can spend the afternoon of the last day at South Africa’s Kingdom of Pleasure at a minimal cost. Take the shuttle bus to Sun City (they depart two-hourly from the lodges). We will then transfer you back from Sun City; departure time 16:00.
