The Garden Route is a scenic stretch of the south-western coast of South Africa which extends from Mossel Bay in the Western Cape to the Storms River in the Eastern Cape. The name comes from the verdant and ecologically diverse vegetation encountered here and the numerous lagoons and lakes dotted along the coast.
Both mountains and oceans are experienced in all their glory along the Garden Route. Criss-cross between the two, via mountain passes into the hot dry Karoo, then back down to the temperate coast.
Our tours include towns such as Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and Oudtshoorn, Private Game Reserves and visits to the Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve and Nature’s Valley.
The charming town of Oudtshoorn, home to South Africa’s ostrich industry and the famous Cango Caves is well-worth a visit before heading back to Cape Town via the famous R62 route and the Robertson Winelands.
